Cellulite is caused by the small deposits of fat that exist underneath the skin. They are trapped inside a honeycomb type like structure and this is what gives the skin a dimpled appearance. Many women who suffer from this condition try many things to remove the fat deposits. Some are successful and some aren’t.
Women shouldn’t be ashamed of having cellulite. Ninety-percent of women in the world suffer from the condition at some point in their lives. In elebrities aren’t immune from cellulite as the photos of tabloid newspapers shows us almost on a daily basis.
Some of the more successful techniques include cellulite creams and massage. Liposuction is probably the most effective cellulite treatment but does require undergoing the risk of surgery. When looking at using exercise as an aid to other treatments or as a cellulite solution in itself there are a couple of tricks that can help make it more effective for you.
First, the most important thing about exercising to get rid of cellulite is building muscle. This is because muscle burns a lot of calories and will burn those fat deposits underneath the skin. Muscle can also make the skin look smoother and more tone by stretching the skin.
Cardio itself will help burn calories too. Anything can help here like walking, jogging, bike riding or swimming. If you have a certain problem area focus on a exercise that works the muscle around that area. This will help to build the muscle beneath skin here and reduce the appearance of cellulite as well as burn fat overall.
As all ways these exercises should be accompanied by changes in the diet. Reduce your levels of fat and eat more fruit and vegetables. Drink plenty of water to rehydrate the skin and to help make it more firm.
Exercise works best when combined with other cellulite treatments. This can include cellulite creams and lotions, massage or other treatments available at your local spa. Also, don’t forget to investigate home massage and laser machines which are available which can also be very effective.
By combining several treatments you will have the best chance of success. Don’t be discouraged if you don’t see immediate results either. It can take several weeks for results to appear but once they do you will quickly be impressed. Talk to your local spa or gym if you have particular questions around certain details.

You are right about building muscle. A lot of women are scared of building muscle because they think they might get too big. They can’t, as they don’t have the genetic from it. More muscle = more calories you burn during the day and less fat.
